Description
The Sacramento Public Library's Special Collections - the Sacramento Room - presents its second annual Capital Decades Fashion Show. The Fashion Show - presented by Doreen Sinclair and Rhonda Barrett of the Sacramento Art Deco Society - is the second of four programs focusing on Sacramento during the 1930s. Others included 1) City Life, a lecture series on Industry (William Burg), Recreation (Tom Tolley), Hoovervilles (James Scott), and Education (Amanda Graham); 2) Movies (Mattias Bombal); 3) Jitterbug!, an instruction and dance program, hosted by Midtown Stomp. Capital Decades is shown annually, in May, under the auspices of the Sacramento Room. 2013's feature will be Sacramento during the 1940s.
