Description
Image looking down Jackson Street from near the intersection with San Pedro Street (previously Wilmington Street until ca. 1902) in downtown Los Angeles, California, with commercial storefronts and residences. A horse-drawn carriage and bicycle are in the distance and telephone poles can be seen throughout; advertisements for Shea, Bocqueraz Co. liquor and Wieland's Beer can be seen on the wall at right of image.
Title devised by cataloger; date range approximated by cataloger based on the year that Shea, Bocqueraz Co. began using that name and the latest known dates indicated for other Hazard images in the Huntington's collection. Similar images of San Pedro Street in the same vicinity can be seen in the related items.
