Image of an advertisement for the New York Sunday Journal January 1897 issue featuring the comic character The Yellow Kid at sea on a sailboat with boys and girls of various races, a goat, a dog, and a cat at the steering wheel; four men dressed as heads of state stand on the shore at left.
