Description
Just to prove it could be done, George Young, chairman of Hollywood Stars Board of Directors, pour gasoline on beams of the new Hollywood Baseball park, while Bob Cobb, Vice-president of the team, supplies the blow torch. The material is treated with fireproof chemicals so that while the gas burns, the wood's not even scoreched! Photo dated: April 24, 1939.
