In: [Scenes of Sacramento] [manuscript] / Eugene Walter Hepting. [Sacramento, Calif. : E. Hepting, 1938?], Vol. C, leaf 45.
Large residence sits on the corner with entrance on the left up a set of stairs; covered entrance porch supported by double columns at front and a pediment on top of porch; residence is 3 floors with basement; on 2nd floor corner is a round tower with conical roof; next to tower is wall surface, interrupted by a window on left and round cutout on right; windows are located under eaves on third floor on both sides of the residence; on the right and left are other buildings, a one floor residence on left and a two floor apartment house (?) on right.
Walter Hepting was born in Sacramento (father was from Switzerland, mother from Germany). Worked for the State Treasurer's Office. Was amateur historian, collected old photographs and images of Sacramento.
