Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the old mill at Mission San Gabriel showing the location of the water wheel, ca.1885. The mill is a long rectangular adobe building with a peaked terracotta-covered roof. There is a barred window visible at center, and a small chimney protrudes at right. The remains of a low adobe structure (perhaps the location of the water wheel?) are in the foreground, and a leafless tree grows between them and the mill. Another tree is visible in the foreground at right.
