Benny Chavez, conductor of magicians school, poses as a "guide or steerer," who brought Mrs. Hill to the fake spirtualist. In the second phase of this demonstration give at the magicians' convention in the Roosevelt Hotel, the victim places the slates overhead and through concentration a voice from the spirit world is supposed to write the messages answering her questions.
