Description
Art Hayashida recounts his military service, his career as an employee and business owner in the trucking industry, and upcoming retirement plans (1951-2000). Handwriting at the bottom of the document reads: Wayne: above mentioned FTS Transport Systems, was owned by Frank Hayashida. At one time his fleet included 2000 tractors and 3000 trailers- A major company. He hauled all of Calif. and all the way to Arkansas to transport chicken for Swanson Food/Campbell Soup Co. Collection consists of drafts and notes for narratives on Asian Americans, photographs, exhibit items, artifacts, publications, and audio and visual material accumulated by Wayne H. Maeda, instructor and founding member of Asian American Studies at Sacramento State.
