Image shows classroom interior with school children at Malaga Cove School, located at 385 Via Almar in Malaga Cove. The school, built for a cost of $85,000, opened on April 5, 1926. Students are seated at their desks while Miss Helene Boughton, visible at far right, instructs the fifth and sixth grade class on "Sources of Information" from the front blackboard. A pull-down map of the United States is in front of the class, above which hangs an image of cowboys with Conestoga wagons.
