Photograph caption dated May 8, 1961 reads, "Susan Holloway, Thousand Oaks, was one of more than 100 entries in Conejo Valley Days' Parade, led by singer Pat Boone as Grand Marshal. Carnival and rodeo events followed in the fifth annual renewal of Conejo Valley Days, a three-day celebration to bolster the building fund for a community center and recreation building."
