Photograph caption dated October 20, 1962 reads "Practicing for Sunday's mass shipment of Sabin polio vaccine to Valley clinics are deputy sheriffs Gary Parker, left, and Alvin B. Hockox. Directing the exercises at Brunswick Drug Co., 15809 Strathern St., Van Nuys, are Drs. Wendell Coffelt and Jack Bills, right, of the Los Angeles County Medical Association. The vaccine itself--thousands of bottles of it--will remain in sub-freezing storage until tomorrow morning, when it will be transported to clinics by sheriff's and police cars, trucks and helicopters. Tomorrow is Sabin Sunday in L.A."
