Title supplied by cataloger. Photograph caption dated June 25, 1979 reads, "The body of a 5-year-old boy was found at the bottom of the lake in MacArthur Park last night by members of the county diving team. The search for the boy, who has not been identified, began when a man called the city fire department and reported seeing a small boy fall off a paddle boat where he had been playing with four or five other youths. The boy managed to return to the surface of the water, but none of his friends could reach him. Fire Capt. John Kirkhorn, left, and fireman Glen Gorgeson drag the lake without success. Later, divers were called in. They found the body in less than an hour."
