"Passagerer paa dampsk. "Zanzibar", juli 1896" ( "Passengers on board the steamship "Zanzibar", July 1896"). Missionaries on their departure to Madagascar.
The missionaries are sitting on deck under a canvas because of the sun. Sitting from the left: Aagot Kjeldseth (Joergensen)1870-1957, Julie Smith 1873-1920, Martha Meeg 1855-1950 with her children. Standing from the left: (?) , Hans Smith 1868-1956, Martin Meeg 1851-1924, Agnete Petersen 1866-1944 and Peter A.G.Petersen 1864-1950.
