Description
Photograph taken from the pier of Newport Beach, showing canoes and a man stooping in the shallows, ca.1910. There are many small boats pulled up on the shore, as well as several people wandering about on the sand. At the end of the pier, there is a two story structure with two rectangular windows and wooden siding. In the back left corner, there are four more buildings, one of which appears to be only a covered obsevation deck, full of people looking at the water. There is a man standing in the water and holding a bag he is stooped over and his actions are creating gentle ripples in the otherwise calm water.
