Description
Shown in circa 1910 is a barge on the Sacramento River. For nearly a century, and beginning in 1875, River Lines provided transport for cargo - canned goods, rice, and wool - from Sacramento to Colusa, From Sacramento to San Francisco, and points in-between. By the early 1950s, River Lines was responsible for transporting nearly 825,000 tons of goods, annually.
