Description
"Links von Waßmann Kanjasmatsch Biru (Zauberer)" ("Left of Waßmann Qegnazmach Biru (sorcerer)"). Group portrait of Dietrich Waßmann Sr. and Qegnazmach Biru with his family.
("On the way back to Ayra, a man came running after us and said: My master tells you: Why do you ride by, why do you hate me, are we no longer friends? I asked: How does your master call himself? Qenyazmach Biru. 'Who is that, father?'[,] asked Dietrich. Thus we couldn't ride by. He is my old friend, the only sorcerer that in the whole region still practices his dark craft. [H]ere he stands beaming with joy next to me, behind us his 6 wifes").
