Description
V2p5e In PHOTO ALBUM-VAULT: ** fc917.9461 A3, Vol. II, page 5 bottom left. This photograph is contained in one of two volumes by Dobbin titled "Album of San Francisco." Bust-length portrait of Keil. Text written under photo: "Hugo D. Kiel [sic]." Keil was President of the California Adding Machine Co. He also served as a Police Commissioner. It was Keil's home in Belvedere that Police Chief William J. Biggy was returning to San Francisco from on the night of November 30, 1908, when Biggy mysteriously disappeared from the boat he was traveling on. His body was found in the bay two weeks later.
