Photograph caption dated November 8, 1963 reads, "Discussing the voter registration drive to open soon in the Valley are, from left, Councilman Ernani Bernardi; Mrs. Stuart Abraham, Valley are director, League of Women Voters; Mrs. Marjorie Quittner, drive chairman, and Councilman Tom Shepard. Valley councilmen are promoting the drive to give the Valley another council seat. League is pledged only to increase registration."
