Although Henry Armstrong, Los Angeles welterweight champion of the world, is generally considered to be slipping, he still packs dynamite in his right. Photo shows how he dealt an unmerciful beating to Pedro Montanez of Puerto Rico in their title fight in New York, scoring one of his two knockdowns in a fourth round melee that left game Montanez dazed. The bell saved him, but only for a short while, for the fight was ended on a T.K.O. in the ninth. Photo dated: January 25, 1940.
