Photograph article dated October 20, 1961 partially reads, "When the Tad Finlays of Van Nuys travel, they like plenty of room, plenty of privacy and plenty of luxury. All three are at their fingertips, for the Finlays own one of the few existing private railroad cars in the country. The Finlays, 13353 Chandler Blvd., own a Valley travel agency and "dreamed for years" about owning and operating a private railroad car and reviving the traveling elegance that characterized the railroad during its Golden Age, from about 1880-1930. "Our dream came true in 1959 when we bought Car No. 1512 from the Santa Fe Railway," Findley explained. The 86-foot car was built in 1926 by the Pullman Standard Car Co., and rolled up thousands of miles during its years of service." Plush interior recaptures Victorian splendor.
