Description
Photograph of the exterior view of the Mason Opera House, on Broadway, ca.1908. The opera house stands about four stories tall with six buttresses providing structural support. There are five windows on the second, third and fourth floor. Two fire escape ladder wells are visible on either side of the structure. The roof is constructed of a fancy tile that forms ridges, which are similar to but more noticeable than Spanish-style tiles. Two men stand to the right of the building conversing near street lamp. Two other men can be seen talking near the end of the building at left. A horse-drawn carriage and a bicycle are parked next to curb.
