Mary VosKamp of Encino, volunteer at Sepulveda Veterans Hospital, helps patient capture perspective of buildings on hospital grounds. More than 400 volunteers are bridging gap between hospital and community outside for mentally disturbed men and women patients at Valley institution. Volunteers are taking on tasks vastly different from sparse numbers who manned veterans administration hospitals between World Wars I and II."
