Description: In their first meeting since their divorce, Aimee Semple McPherson and Dave Hutton are shown amiably going over papers at trial of a suit. Harry Essman seeks to collect $7500 on a note signed by the evangelist when she was still wed to Hutton. Sister Aimee claims the note was signed under a plan to build a large apartment for Angelus Temple and that since the deal didn't go through, she doesn't owe anything on the note. Hutton testified for her. Photo dated: September 21, 1935.
