Interview with Gerald C. Henry, retired Administrative Assistant to the Vice President for Employee Relations at Del Monte Corporation. Henry recounts his 45 years at CalPak/Del Monte, and his part in the creation and management of the Industrial Relations Department. The interview gives an in-depth history of how the company was shaped by the Depression, World War II, and the Korean War; government legislation; and labor unions.
