Description
The one-room church building of the First Methodist Church in Pasadena, California, with a decorative architectural detailing on roof and corners, stands alone on a dirt plot. Scattered houses and agricultural fields in the distance behind it.
Title and alt-title transcribed from back of photo-mount. Date devised by cataloger; Watkins made two trips to Southern California, in 1877 and 1880. Printed on photo-mount below title: "From Watkins' Yosemite Art Gallery, Portrait and Landscape, 26 Montgomery Street, opp. Lick House Entrance. S.F." Image corresponds with Watkins New Series stereo, unnumbered, titled "M.E. Church, Pasadena, Cal."
