Description
Photograph of the Gatun Locks, Panama Canal, November 4, 1926. Wooden poles resembling crosses can be seen evenly spaced alongside the concrete lock, which runs from the left foreground to the right background. The lock curves up a hill at center, while what appears to be a tram can be seen on the incline on a track. A one-story building with a sloped roof can be seen on top of a hill towards the center background, while other buildings can be seen in the distance at left. Water can be seen at right below the lock.
