The Quad at Whittier shopping mall was built in 1953 and expanded in 1965. After being destroyed by an earthquake in 1987, it was rebuilt as a strip mall.
The Quad at Whittier shopping mall, located at 13502 Whittier Boulevard; view is looking south. Laurel Avenue is visible along the upper left corner. Photograph dated August 6, 1957.
