Photograph caption dated March 10, 1956 reads, "Plant A Tree Week is being observed actively here with members of Woodland [sic] Avenue Elementary PTA members taking part with students. Christopher Gilbert and Kay Slaughter put final spades of dirt around tree, while Mrs. Fred Baer, association president, and Mrs. Stella Greer, school principal, look on."
