Original print is of inferior quality.; Title supplied by cataloger. Pictured is Orville Collins, Commander of the American Legion Post No. 127, and one of 20 defendants charged with illegally entering the home Hugh A. Hardyman as a Democratic meeting was being held. The charges grew out of complaints registered by Hugh Hardyman, a retired fruit grower, who stated the defendants entered his home during a meeting of the Crescenta-Canada Democratic Club and demanded that those in attendance disperse. The meeting, however, continued after the group, which included newspapermen and members of the American Legion, departed. Photograph dated November 24, 1947.
