Description
Photo caption reads: "Caused by Gas Co. power shovel at Riverton and Otsego N.H." Photo dated: Aug. 12, 1974.; Smoke obscures the intersection at Otsego St. and Riverton in North Hollywood as water from a fireman's hose pours onto a fire on a ruptured gas line. The flames are higher then a nearby apartment building. Water fills the intersection and an abandoned power shovel is by the flames. The intersection is blocked off.
