West (Andrew) Photographs of the Guelaguetza, 1982-1985
Andrew West (1954- ) has worked as a photographer's assistant and as an annual report photographer. His photography of Guatemalan costumes appears in the exhibition catalog, Threads of identity, published by the Fowler Museum at UCLA (1992). The collection is composed of photographic materials including color slides, color prints, and a CD-R disk containing color images from La Guelaguetza and Saints Day Celebration festivals held in Oaxaca, Mexico in 1982 and 1985. Also included is documentation about the materials and Andrew West.

West Coast Negro Baseball Association Collection
The West Coast Negro Baseball Association was formed on March 9, 1946 at a meeting of the High Marine Social Club at the Elks Clubhouse in Oakland, California. The baseball league was spearheaded by two Berkeley firemen, Eddie Harris and David P. Portlock, who pitched the idea of forming a Negro baseball league on the West Coast that would use Pacific Coast League parks while teams were away. West (H. H.) Collection
Henry Hebard West was a Los Angeles resident, Southern Pacific Railroad employee, and candid photographer. His photograph album contains images of Los Angeles and vicinity, but also includes many photos of travels to Northern California, the Midwest, and New England. Most of the photos are portraits of the West family in Los Angeles, where they lived at 240 S. Griffin Avenue, in a house built by the photographer's father. The photos provide a first-hand look at the architecture, interior decoration, furniture, clothing, hair styles, and transportation of the period. Western Pacific Atmospheric River Object Data from MODE detection software using West-WRF, GEFS, and MERRA-2
The .tgz files contain NetCDF files of atmospheric river (AR) objects as processed through the Method for Object-based Diagnostic Evaluation (MODE; Bullock et al. 2016) software. MODE is part of the Model Evaluation Tools (MET; https://dtcenter.org/community-code/model-evaluation-tools-met) package provided by the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR). ARs are narrow areas of intense moisture transport that can be identified using gridded fields of integrated vapor transport (IVT) from a numerical weather prediction model and/or analysis (described below). Objects are used to evaluate the forecast skill of the AR over an 11 year (2006-2017) period during the cool season (Dec-Mar).
