Title from caption. Alt title from recto. Written on verso: General William T. Sherman was familiarly know as "Old Tecumseh," his full name being William Tecumseh Sherman. This photograph of him was taken in the Union lines before Atlanta, July 19, 1864. His boys will be glad to see him as he looked during the war.
