The caption describes the benefit performance of Noel Coward's "Tonight at 8:30" series of short plays at the El Capitan Theater in Hollywood, California. The proceeds from the performance were donated to the British War Relief Association. The cast included such notables as Douglas Fairbanks Jr., Reginald Owen, and Constance Bennett.
