Constructed in 1919 with an original address of 6642 Santa Monica Boulevard, this film production studio has gone by numerous names including Hollywood Studios, Inc., Metropolitan Sound Studio, General Service Studios, Zoetrope (under the ownership of Frances Ford Coppola), and most recently Hollywood Center Studios. In 1951, Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz rent Stage #2 to shoot the pilot for I Love Lucy. The studio entrance was moved to 1040 N. Las Palmas Avenue in the mid-1920s.
