Deacon and Social Worker Jens (and Elsebeth) Fischer-Nielsen were sent by Danish Santal Mission Diakon og socialrådgiver Jens (og Elsebeth) Fischer-Nielsen var udsendt af Dansk Santalmission til Bangladesh, 1975-87. Her arbejdede han indenfor evangelisation, kirkelig undervisning, rådgivning og administration. JFN var med til at stifte Bangladesh Lutherske Kirke i 1979 og blev ordineret sammen med tre lutherske bengalpræster, 1981. Senere har han været sognepræst ved Sædden Kirke, 1989-98 samt Kvaglund Kirke, Esbjerg, 1998-2014. JFN er forfatter til flere bøger om Bangladesh, bl.a. "Salige er de fattige" (1983) og "Byen på bjerget" (1987). Efter hjemkomsten i 1987 har JFN været i Bangladesh på mange kortere ophold – siden 2008 hvert år i forbindelse med et menighedsudvekslingsprogram, der omfatter godt 100 menigheder under BLC

Deacon and Social Worker Jens (and Elsebeth) Fischer-Nielsen were sent by Danish Santal Mission to Bangladesh, 1975-87. Here his ministry included evangelisation, theological education, counseling and management. JFN was involved in founding of the Bangladesh Lutheran Church in 1979, and he was ordained together with three Bengal pastors, 1981. After returning to Denmark, JFN has served as pastor of Sædden Church, 1989-98 and Kvaglund Church, Esbjerg, 1998-2014. He is the author of books about Bangladesh, as "Salige er de fattige" (1983) and "Byen på bjerget" (1987). Also recent years, JFN has been on several visits to BLC – since 2008 every year, as consultant and coordinator of an Interaction Program for about 100 congregations of BLC.
