This photo shows a field radio crew receiving the location of the "enemy" from a plane and relaying directions to the artillery battery. Radio stations KEHE and KFAC will give radio listeners a first-hand account of how American planes would spot an enemy force around Los Angeles by rebroadcasting actual short wave radio communication between National Guard planes flying over the city and a mythical battery of guns at Griffith Park. The program will be dedicated in observance of Army day. Photo dated: April 3, 1936.
