Description
Photograph of Brannan and 9th Street, showing earthquake damage, San Francisco, 1906. The sidewalk lies at center with long, wooden panels along its deck. The fence and stairs which once led to the door of the house in the foreground on the right have shifted and are now broken. Further down the sidewalk stands the Rainier Restaurant & Chop House which appears to be undamaged. The sidewalk appears to have shifted out into the road as many of the stones are broken and displaced while large cracks scar the streets surface on the far left.
