Assignment: Harold Middlekauff preliminary. #59: Gal in tears and near collapse being supported by two unidentified women is Mrs. Jean Hansen, cousin of murder victim Beryl Creech. Walking behind the group of three women is Harold Middlekauff, 34, the slayer. Pix was made at the conclusion of Middlekauf's 4-hour preliminary hearing in West Los Angeles. He was ordered held to answer without bail, for trial. Charge: murder. #60: Harold Middlekauf, (right, plain clothes) being escorted from West L.A. municipal court after being held to answer on a charge of murder of Beryl Creech, his landlord. #77-78: On witness stand is Mrs. Jean Hansen, cousin of murder victim, who testifies to calling police. Other shot shows her walking by Harold Middlekauff, accused slayer".
