Vernon Wolcott is first from the left on the second row, first from the left; Carl Newman is fourth from the left; Roy Thomas is fifth from the left; Leonard Withington is sixth from the left; William Jencks is seventh from the left; and Winston Dickson [the first African American student at Pomona College] is on the far right end. On the front row Edward Milliken is first on the left; George Hume is second from the left; and Howard Ross is third from the left.
