Description
Two views of the casino at Avalon, Catalina Island. Mott number 157 refers to stock photographs.
1992-1604 (157-1936) casino from land side; 1992-1605 (157-1938) close-up of the casino from water's edge.
Built in 1928 and 1929 by architects Summer A. Spaulding and William Webber for Santa Catalina Island Company. Designed in Moorish Alhambra style, consists of ballroom and movie theater.
