Description
Five women in fashionable dress. The woman on the far left, faces away from the viewer. Her hair is up in a coiled loop and is decorated with two pink roses, smaller red flowers and green leaves. Her dress has a wide neckline with a shallow "V" in the center and is trimmed with white lace. The dress is pale pink with short scalloped sleeves, with white lace and ruffled cuffs. The bodice is plain as well as the top portion of the skirt. Her accessories include a bracelet on her right wrist, a pair of white gloves, and a white handkerchief. The woman in the top left has three pink roses with green leaves in her hair, which is also dressed in a coiled loop. Her bodice is decorated with many rows of white ruched fabric, demarcated by pink ribbons. The lower half of her bodice buttons down the center and comes to a point at the waist. The visible portion of her skirt is plain white fabric. She holds a handkerchief in her right hand and wears white gloves. The woman to her left also has pink roses in her ringlets. Her dress is pale teal with an off the shoulder neckline, trimmed with narrow white ruffles. She wears blue and pink flowers on her bodice, white gloves, and holds a white fan. The woman on the far right faces away from the viewer. Pink and red flowers with green leaves create a diadem for her elaborately dressed and coiled hair, and she has a fancy comb in the back as well. Her dress has an off the shoulder neckline with two tiers of pale purple fabric, trimmed with narrow white lace ruffles. The short sleeves beneath are puffed and edged with more white lace ruffle. The bodice and top portion of her skirt are made of plain fabric. The woman in the center is seated on a wooden chair with red upholstery. In her hair are several pink roses with green leaves. Her dress is blue with an off the shoulder neckline trimmed with white lace. The top of the bodice is covered with two tiers of fabric, trimmed with lace and adorned with a pink flower in the center. The dress has elbow length sleeves with lace trim around the cuffs. The skirt is embellished with narrow rows of lace. Pink flowers decorate the intersection of the lace at about knee level. She wears a pair of white gloves and holds a handkerchief in her right hand.
