Description
Douglas "Wrong Way" Corrigan stands with Lord Mayor Alfie Byrne and his son at the Hotel Gresham in Dublin, Ireland, July 1938. Corrigan has written the following on the back of the photo: "In the Hotel Gresham with the Lord Mayor Alfie Byrne and his son. The insignia of Office. The Lord Mayor's chain seal. King William the First and presented by him to the Corporation of Dublin in 1691. I'm wearing the Mayor's gold chain. It was pretty heavy (about 10 lbs.)."
