"Y.M.C.A. Foochow. Dr. and Mrs. Willard Beard - Dr. B. 1st man on step. Mrs. B. on right. Dr. and Mrs. Samuel H. Liger, second man on steps. Sing Ai Ding next, Ralph Gold - next. Before 1919." [now Fuzhou] A group of both Chinese and missionary folk pose for a photo on the porch of a building. One of the Chinese men on the stairs is in a Western suit, but the others in the photo are wearing clothes representative of their culture.
