Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph article dated January 1, 1951 partially reads, "Cracked and worn from hundreds of usings is a recording of Enrico Caruso's great tenor voice, now possessed by Alfred Orner of Sherman Oaks. It's only one, however, of the 224 recordings of Caruso's voice that Orner owns. The great Italian tenor made only 234 during his lifetime. Orner, a lyric tenor in his own right, retired 10 years ago. Now he desires to help other deserving singers, let them hear the recordings of Caruso and the voices of hundreds of other noted singers in the quiet of his Sherman Oaks home at 15260 Delgado Drive." Photograph caption reads, "His greatest - Alfred Orner, collector of recordings of noted singers, prepares to play recording of Enrico Caruso's voice.
