Description
This image was part of a California State Library photographic history project documenting the daily lives and historical, political, and cultural contributions of California's diverse communities. On June 12, 1999, Long Beach residents donated to the Long Beach Public Library 398 family and personal photographs as part of this ongoing statewide project. Pictured here are five military officers wearing uniforms and flight gear. The front portion of an airplane is visible parked behind them. This group is the VP-65 Squadron of Los Alamitos Naval Air Station. The 4th man from the left is the donor's husband, Malcom Treadwell; he served as Chief Aviation Mechanic. DATE NOTES: Circa 1961.
