Description
Photograph of Four cameramen standing in front of Estación Colonia, Mexico, ca.1910. Four men in suits and hats stand behind their large tripods to operate their cameras. They face towards the foreground while the railroad station stands beyond a large arch behind them. The signage above the arch reads, "Ferrocarriles Nacionales de Mexico (National Railways of Mexico)". A crowd of finely-dressed people crowd the arched entrance to the platforms. Photo sleeve reads "General Alvaro Oregon Ranch Scenes". This station was bomb raided in February 1913 during The Ten Tragic Days, in México City. Originally, the photograph was captioned as "Four photographers at the Ferrocarriles Nacionales de Mexico (National Railways of Mexico), Cajeme, Mexico, ca.1910".
