Photograph article dated July 24, 1964 partially reads, "John Hoggatt, (Colonel U.S. Air Force, retired) now working on a government proect [sic] at Aerojet in Downey, says that he and his wife shopped every residential community along the coast and decided on Hueneme Bay for several reasons. 'Weather tops our list,' said Mrs. Hoggatt... The Hoggartts say their enthusiasm for the community itself shares second place, among their reasons for choosing Hueneme Bay, with the wonderful friendliness of their new neighbors." The Hoggartts were the lucky winners of a color television set at Hueneme Bay's first anniversary fete.
