"Masai-Krieger, Deutsch-Ost-Afrika." ("Masai warrior, German East Africa."). A seated man with headdress, earrings, and necklaces. He is wearing 'traditional' clothes. The image is taken in profile.
Cf. Album 7, photo no. 24(415). -- Postcard published by the Leipzig Mission. -- The postcard was sent on 9/11/1917. -- Probably photographed by Johannes Schanz (1876-1963) was a missionary of the Leipzig Mission. He served in Moshi and Mamba from 1901 to 1910.
