Description
According to a report prepared for the Sacramento City Council by the State Division of Highways, the four-year period 1967-1968 through 1970-1971 expenditure for Sacramento County state highways would total approximately $140 million. The report had the following to say about highway renewal: “Highway construction is only a part of the many renewal programs underway in Sacramento… The entire community has been patient in suffering disruptions of highway relocation and construction activities. The Division of Highways is fortunate in enjoying outstanding cooperation with the Sacramento City Council and staff members.”
