Description
Photograph of a view of six men posing on the number three dredge on the Kings River, 1909. The dredge is at center and consists of a large boat with a crane at the bow. The crane supports a massive X-shaped digging tool, on which the six men are standing or sitting and looking at the viewer. All of the men are wearing overalls and boots except one, who is wearing long pants. All but one have hats as well. The river is very narrow, and large mounds of dirt can be seen on both banks. Several trees are visible in the distance.
